“PRAISE BE TO THE LORD MY ROCK, WHO TRAINS MY HANDS
FOR WAR, MY FINGERS FOR BATTLE. HE IS MY LOVING GOD
AND MY FORTRESS, MY STRONGHOLD AND MY DELIVER,
MY SHIELD, IN WHOM I TAKE REFUGE….Psalm 144:1-2a
Quoted often by General Robert E. Lee in his prayers before battle.
As Oath Keepers we have and are in a unique position to influence others in a positive or negative way. Three words stand out to me on our flag, our patches, our pamphlets. GOD, LIBERTY, JUSTICE. The order is not by accident, but rather by design. God must be our focal point. For in him we find strength, wisdom, knowledge, power, protection, and assurance. Liberty—-FREEDOM. John 8:36 “So if the Son sets you free, you will be FREE indeed. There is a freedom we all have, it is a SPIRITUAL Freedom and no one can take that away. Fact is it has often been said and I have found it to be true, in a FOXHOLE there is no such thing as an Athiest. God is the author and perfecter of FREEDOM. JUSTICE, something very difficult to find these days, at least in the legal sense. We live in a world now where RIGHT IS WRONG & WRONG IS RIGHT. In Romans 3 the Apostle Paul writes of God and Jesus the following; “God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through FAITH in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his JUSTICE, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—-he did it to demonstrate his JUSTICE at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have FAITH in Jesus. True justice comes from GOD; NOT MAN.
As a veteran I know first hand the thoughts of man about War and God. To most there thoughts are IF GOD IS LOVE, THEN HOW CAN HE CAUSE OR ALLOW WAR? God does not cause war, man does, but GOD will guide those who will be Victorious for HIS GREATER GLORY.
As men & women of God we have weapons at our disposal to use everyday in this spiritual war we are fighting. Over the course of months I will talk about those SPIRITUAL WEAPONS we have at our disposal.
We will not be able to do what we called to do WITHOUT GOD’S LEADING. Until next time;
THE LORD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU;
THE LORD MAKE HIS FACE TO SHINE
YOU AND BE GRACIOUS TO YOU; THE
TURN HIS FACE TOWARD YOU AND
GIVE YOU PEACE.
